New infill projects coming to Downtown Winter Garden

Winter Garden’s vibrant downtown, famous for its top-ranked farmers market, continues to expand with exciting new projects. These small-scale developments, focused on attracting local businesses, add to the unique character of the area and create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

One such project is The Shops at Smith & Main. This two-story development, located at 186 S Main St., will offer a mix of boutique shops and restaurants. The highlight will be a stunning two-story restaurant with expansive windows, perfect for taking in the sights while enjoying a delicious meal. Ranging from 1,120 to 1,475 square feet, other spaces are ideal for a variety of businesses, fostering a diverse and vibrant atmosphere.

With gorgeous architecture featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and exposed brick, The Shops at Smith & Main seamlessly blends into the existing streetscape. Construction is already underway after the City Commission approved the project in June 2023. This exciting addition promises to further enhance the “small downtown synergy” that makes Winter Garden so special.

Another project in the works is located at 950 Dillard St. This development expands on an existing 2.2-acre property currently occupied by Gentiva Hospice Care. A new, beautifully designed two-story building will be constructed, offering flexible office space suitable for retail, medical practices, or professional offices. This space will complement the existing Gentiva facility and create a welcoming environment for a variety of businesses. Ample surface-level parking will be available behind the new building. The Winter Garden Planning & Zoning Board approved the project in December 2023.

These are just a few examples of the exciting developments transforming Winter Garden’s downtown. With a mix of retail, restaurants, and offices, these projects cater to both residents and visitors, solidifying Winter Garden’s position as a thriving and welcoming community.
