The Leesburg City Commission voted 5-1 to move forward with a plan to demolish and rebuild the Venetian Cove Marina. The $1.8 million project will include the construction of a new marina building with offices, a reception area, and restrooms, as well as the addition of 42 new boat slips.

A new Ski Beach Bar & Grill opened in 2022, and Pat Thomas Stadium is currently undergoing a $750,000 renovation. The demolition and rebuilding of the Venetian Cove Marina is expected to be completed within 6 to 12 months.
