Winter Garden is thrilled to announce the commencement of construction on the second phase of Tucker Ranch Park and Nature Preserve. This exciting development will add a substantial 25.6 acres to the existing park, creating a comprehensive outdoor space for residents and visitors alike.
The centerpiece of the expansion is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to holistic health, wellness, education, and family activities. This 5,000-square-foot retreat center will offer a variety of programs and classes, fostering a sense of community and well-being.
In addition to the retreat center, the new phase will feature beautifully landscaped gardens, both edible and educational, as well as a thoughtfully designed outdoor teaching kitchen. A network of trails will wind through the park, providing opportunities for exercise and exploration. A greenhouse will serve as a hub for environmental education and sustainable practices.
The expansion of Tucker Ranch Park will seamlessly integrate with the existing amenities, offering a diverse range of recreational activities. Visitors can enjoy the playground, nature trails, picnic areas, and canoe/kayak launch, all within a serene and natural setting.
The project is estimated to cost $31 million and is expected to be completed within two years. The City of Winter Garden is working closely with local health and wellness partners to develop innovative programming and secure funding for this transformative initiative.
Tucker Ranch Park and Nature Preserve is a beloved community asset, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich history and natural beauty. With the addition of this new phase, the park will continue to be a cherished destination for residents and visitors of all ages.
