At a recent Clermont City Council meeting, developers presented plans to expand dining options at the Magnolia Pointe Center, located on a 22-acre parcel on SR 50, east of Magnolia Pointe Blvd. The proposal centered on adding five fast-food restaurants, with four designated for Lot 3.
Currently, the site hosts a Dunkin’ Donuts. The proposed development includes a new 7,000-square-foot building to accommodate three fast-food restaurants and a Twistee Treat drive-thru. Twistee Treat, known for its iconic 25-foot fiberglass cone buildings, offers a wide range of ice cream treats, including cones, shakes, sundaes, and specialty desserts.
The applicant argued that the expansion would enhance the center’s service to the community by providing diverse and convenient dining choices. City staff approved the proposal, concluding that the new establishments would not negatively impact surrounding properties and would integrate smoothly with the existing commercial layout.
The addition of Twistee Treat and other fast-food options is expected to solidify Magnolia Pointe Center as a key commercial hub in Clermont, offering residents and visitors a broader range of dining options and enriching the local food scene.
