Beazer Homes planning townhome project in Winter Garden

Beazer Homes is poised to introduce a new townhome development to Winter Garden, Florida. This 8.7-acre project, situated at 1271 Avalon Road, will feature 61 townhomes, each offering a minimum of 1,200 square feet of living space. The townhomes will be built on lots measuring 65 feet deep and between 22.33 and 34.33 feet wide.

To enhance the community’s appeal, Beazer Homes has incorporated several amenities, including multiple stormwater ponds and a small dog park adjacent to a central recreation area. The project is scheduled to be presented to the Winter Garden Planning and Zoning Board on December 2nd, following a previous meeting cancellation.

This development is part of a broader trend of growth and revitalization in Winter Garden’s downtown core. Several other projects are currently underway, including:

  • Mixed-Use Development: A two-story building at 210-214 S. Dillard St. will combine 3,690 square feet of commercial or retail space on the ground floor with two residences totaling 4,222 square feet on the second floor.
  • The Shops at Smith & Main: This two-story, 12,663-square-foot retail development at 186 S Main St. will be anchored by a two-story restaurant and feature a variety of boutique shops and local businesses.
  • Commercial Expansion: An existing 5,000-square-foot building at 950 Dillard St., currently occupied by Gentiva Hospice Care, will undergo redevelopment to add a 16,147-square-foot commercial building facing Dillard Street.
  • Plant Street Commons: This mixed-use project at 419 W. Plant St. will offer ten apartments, eight two-story townhomes, and approximately 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Beyond the city’s core, further development is also taking place. A 90,000-square-foot neighborhood commercial center, planned for 12357 Stoneybrook W Parkway on the border of Windermere and Winter Garden, will house restaurants, retail shops, and medical offices. Additionally, Integrative Development Group is set to develop a 150-lot subdivision on 110 acres in the town of Oakland, featuring custom-built estate homes, open space, and nature trails along the shores of Lake Apopka.
