Winter Garden-based Boyd Development has submitted plans for several new retail buildings totaling 59,000 square feet in the Hamlin Groves Trail area. This is part of a larger project to bring hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space to the community.
Recent additions include a proposed 950-square-foot Dutch Bros coffee shop, a 9,180-square-foot retail building, and two more retail stores near the existing Publix. Boyd also plans to develop a 25,000-square-foot retail building south of Publix and a 14,684-square-foot retail/office space on the northwest corner of Hamlin Groves Trail and Porter Road.
Last year, Boyd announced plans for a 170,000-square-foot wholesale store and a 45,000-square-foot Popstrokes mini-golf location with a waterfront boardwalk. The company also plans to open a Don the Beachcomber restaurant and a Cinepolis Cinema movie theater.
In addition to these developments, the City of Winter Garden recently announced the groundbreaking of Dyson’s Plaza, a 2,300-square-foot retail property undergoing revitalization.
